Working in the UK

Our offices in the UK are divided between Richmond, London, Stoke-on-Trent and Lincoln.

We value the opinion of our staff, so we thought who better to tell you about our UK offices than the people who work there? We asked a few of our local team members to give you the low down on all the things you need to know.

Working in Richmond

The office

The office is in central Richmond so it is great for transport. The Thames is a five-minute walk from the high street where there is a selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and good coffee – our favourite is at butter beans Cafe. Richmond is surrounded by green space with the park and its famous wild deer, the green and Kew Gardens just up the road.

Environment

Our office is open plan and very spacious making it easy to collaborate and socialise with other teams. The kitchen is an excellent social hub, very central in the office and has free tea and coffee.

Location

We are directly behind the train station, the walk from the platform to desk is just four minutes. Richmond is 20 minutes from London Waterloo, our transport links are great with three train lines, regular buses, and plenty of parking close by.

Other things to add

We have an ‘RLD Connect’ once a month, where we down tools a little earlier and meet in the kitchen for some fun activities planned by one of the teams. We’ve had pub quizzes, World Cup-themed parties and, cheese and wine nights. Its good fun and a great way to meet people when you first start. Most weeks we also have a social after work where everyone is welcome.

Working in Lincoln

The office

The office is located south of Lincoln with great access to the bypass and Hykeham train station. Swanholme Lakes are a 5-minute walk from the office where you can also find The Swan Holme pub and restaurant which has lovely views over the lakes. There are local amenities within walking distance, and we have a large lawn on-site for any colleagues that fancy having lunch or meetings outside on the benches.

Environment

Our office is a mixture of open-plan spaces and singular offices with plenty of meeting space to enable colleagues to connect and collaborate.

Location

We are just off Doddington Road, so roughly a 15-minute walk from Hykeham train station and a few minutes’ drive from the bypass. Our transport links are great with regular trains and buses, as well as plenty of free onsite parking for colleagues and visitors. The city centre is just a 20-minute drive away where there is an array of shops, bars, and restaurants. You can also have a walk up Steep Hill to the Bailgate area where a visit to Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle is a must.

Other things to add

We are a friendly and sociable bunch who enjoy socialising together, especially if there is food involved! Our colleagues also enjoy a bit of healthy competition on our Pac-Man arcade or with a game of table tennis.
