Allocate Software sponsored the 2017 Catholic Health Australia National Conference from the 28th -30th August, set in the historic and beautiful Hobart. The conference provided a unique opportunity to engage in industry discussion with a number of senior leaders and healthcare professionals from Catholic Health providers across Australia.

Catholic health makes up a significant proportion of the healthcare sector. Approximately 10% of all healthcare services in Australia are operated by different bodies of the Catholic Church. This includes 77 Hospitals, over 800 aged care facilities and a number of home and community care clients.

Featuring a fantastic line-up of keynote speakers and presenters, we were excited to be involved in discussion surrounding the shaping of strategies in a number of different areas of health and aged care. Much of the dialogue this year involved the significant role technology can play within the industry, particularly around the healthcare workforce, patient care and the importance of innovation.

Our team were able to showcase our workforce management solution to a number of interested healthcare providers at our exhibition booth. Via a live product demo attendees were able to view a number of features in real-time, including roster creation and costing, SMS find-and-fill, sickness and leave management and attendance tracking.

The team were also privileged to attend the Gala Dinner and Awards night at the Hobart City Hall. There were a number of deserving award winners and inspiration stories from some amazing individuals from several Catholic Health Care providers.

Thanks to everyone who attended our exhibition booth, and to the organisers for making this year’s event, what many described to be “the best CHA conference yet”. We are looking forward to next year’s 40th anniversary event in Melbourne and continuing our partnership with Catholic Health Australia.
