What You Will Do:

As a Translator II within the UI/UX Localisation team, you will support the delivery of high-quality, multi-lingual software releases. You will utilise CAT tools and localisation platforms to ensure translation accuracy, consistency, and technical quality. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll contribute to localisation workflows, quality assurance, and deployment activities. Your work will leverage user data and feedback to inform content decisions, maintain terminology databases, and support linguistic validation. Operating within established processes, you’ll apply evidence-based and impactful communication skills to meet user needs and enhance global user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Translation to German & Linguistic Quality Assurance

  • Utilise Computer-Aided Translation tools to translate software interfaces and documentation into German language, ensuring consistency and adherence to terminology standards.
  • Conduct linguistic validation and proofreading activities, verifying that localised content meets cultural and language quality benchmarks.
  • Perform quality assurance testing on localised versions, identifying and reporting linguistic bugs or discrepancies across product branches.

 

Collaborative Cross-Functional Delivery

  • Coordinate with Product Owners, Development teams, and regional subject-matter experts to gather and clarify localisation requirements for global releases.
  • Participate in collaborative initiatives, supporting shared team goals and leveraging diverse perspectives to resolve project challenges.
  • Process and integrate feedback from various stakeholders, contributing to improved team collaboration and project outcomes.

 

Evidence-Based Localisation Decision-Making

  • Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative user data to inform localisation priorities, decisions, and improvements.
  • Examine analytics and user feedback to validate translation quality and user experience across different language versions.
  • Identify patterns in user behaviour to provide recommendations that enhance localised product effectiveness.

 

Impactful Communication & Documentation

  • Translate complex technical and UI/UX concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences and regions.
  • Adapt terminology and messaging across languages and cultures, maintaining clarity in all documentation and user interfaces.
  • Create and maintain glossaries and style guides to ensure brand consistency in all localised content.

 

Technical Deployment & Localisation Release Support

  • Utilise deployment tools and scripts to support technical release processes for localised products across multiple environments.
  • Coordinate with release management teams to ensure seamless integration and version control for multi-language product launches.
  • Maintain localisation environments and contribute to building automated deployment workflows for reliable product releases.

 

Experience You Will Need:

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Computer-Aided Translation (CAT) tools such as Passolo, Trados, or MadCap Lingo to ensure consistency and quality across multilingual localisation projects.
  • Ability to apply qualitative and quantitative research findings to inform localisation decisions and validate user needs for international product releases.
  • Strong collaborative skills with experience partnering cross-functionally to gather localisation requirements, process feedback, and coordinate successful release planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German for conveying technical and linguistic concepts to diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience utilising deployment tools and version control systems to support the technical deployment and quality assurance of localised content in multi-language environments.
