We’re searching for a Chicago-based Sr. Tax Director to lead our Global Tax team, so that we can translate business strategy into innovative tax planning across multiple jurisdictions and steer comprehensive tax compliance and risk mitigation initiatives that protect and optimize the company's financial interests. The Sr. Tax Director will leverage advanced technology solutions to enhance reporting and process efficiency while building collaborative relationships with advisors and internal stakeholders.
How You’ll Spend Your Time
Manage overall tax function (UK and US Tax Managers and US S&U Tax Manager), setting strategy, providing leadership, direction, and guidance, along with professional development opportunities
Monitor and adjust tax strategies in response to evolving business structures, ensuring continued regulatory compliance and effective risk management
Oversee and manage the worldwide tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740/IAS 12 and ensure compliance with internal controls
Identify and evaluate tax and financial risks through advanced analysis, ensuring mitigation strategies are embedded within business operations
Leverage advanced financial technology solutions to automate tax compliance, reporting, and data management for increased accuracy and efficiency
Provide guidance on tax matters for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring activities, ensuring optimal integration of tax considerations into deal structures
What Kind of Things We’re Most Interested in You Having
Significant experience in a similar tax leadership role, ideally within a SaaS company
Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and local corporate income tax, ASC 740/IAS 12 , International tax and non US specific country tax (e.g., UK, Canada, Australia, etc.)
Proven success in leveraging financial and tax technology platforms and digital tools to automate tax processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency
In-depth knowledge on how to interpret evolving tax legislation and translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for business operations
Ability to commute to downtown Chicago office 2-3 days per week
A knack for working collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
