Client-Focused, Project-Juggling Powerhouse
Jensine Phillips, our US-based Sr. Data Archival Implementation Consultant, has been with RLDatix for the past 3.5 years. She dedicates herself fully to her work every day and received the Excellence MVP Award in 2024 for her efforts. We spent time diving into the details about Jensine’s time at RLDatix, the path that led her to us, and how she unwinds after work.
Why did you decide to join RLDatix?
“Throughout the interview process, I had the opportunity to talk with my future manager(s) and teammates. It was such a positive experience,” says Jensine. She remembers that her first six months were spent learning and being mentored to set her up for success.
What keeps you working here?
What she likes most about coming to work is her teammates and customers. “Everyone shares the same values and brings so many different perspectives and experiences to the table. It’s a really collaborative environment.”
She mentions that “getting to build a relationship with our clients and meet so many different people have been the big reasons I enjoy my job.”
What does your role at RLDatix entail?
While much of Jensine's role focuses on project work, she now acts as a mentor and trains new members who are stepping into her original role as an Implementation Consultant.
As a Senior Data Archival Implementation Consultant, she is usually working on 20 projects at once.
“All of these are in different phases of the timeline, and I have different responsibilities for each phase. No two projects are ever the same, in fact, one part of my role that is unique is the different experience we gain with each project.”
Within her projects, Jensine conducts data integrity and smoke testing, leads clients through their data validation, and acts as our subject matter expert. She ensures that collaboration is smooth throughout the implementation process so that our solutions meet expectations and our service exceeds them.
What inspired you to work in Professional Services?
In Jensine’s Senior year of college, she worked at a children’s hospital and was introduced to all the different roles needed to support the Healthcare System. That is where she found an open role for an Implementation Consultant originally.
“I like being able to apply my knowledge of the clinical setting to our day-to-day work. For example, contextualizing the complexities that come with patient billing and how a client uses an application, to then build a highly customized archive to meet their data needs moving forward!”
Who was your biggest professional inspiration?
“My parents — I have seen them in their professional careers overcome challenges by consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic and sticking to be true to themselves. They instilled in my brother and I that a strong work ethic and confidence in yourself goes a long way in your professional aspirations!”
Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!
Living in Massachusetts, Jensine pairs her hobbies with the seasons. “In the summer, I love going to the beach, going for hikes, and sailing. In the winter, I ski a lot on the weekends.”
She is always the first one planning a trip somewhere and loves to travel. Her favorite trip of all time was visiting Norway and Denmark. “The landscapes and places we visited were unforgettable. It was really cool to visit the places my family's ancestors are from, and we even had a chance to meet some of our distant relatives living there!”
