We’re searching for a USA-based Patient Safety Manager, Safety Institute to join our Solution Advisory team, so that we can guide customers in optimizing their patient safety programs and maximizing the value of their Patient Safety Organization (PSO) participation. The Patient Safety Manager will lead and oversee the full scope of patient safety operations, ensuring compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all PSO related activities.
How You’ll Spend Your Time
Manage day to day functions of the Patient Safety Organization (PSO), including maintaining federal listing requirements with AHRQ and ensuring the standards of the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005 (PSQIA) are met
Function as an expert resource and educator by helping teams understand and appropriately use PSO protections, processes, and reporting pathways
Support data collection and analysis to identify trends, inform decision making, and promote safer care practices across participating healthcare organizations
Liaise between internal departments, external communities, and PSO members in order to ensure strong collaboration, responsive client support, and meaningful engagement in safety initiatives
Plan and facilitate Safe Tables, learning collaboratives, as well as help with virtual conferences/webinars and member relations
What Kind of Things We’re Most Interested in You Having
Significant experience in a Patient Safety or Risk Management role within a healthcare organization
Proven success in developing and managing clinical data models across relevant market segments or care settings
In-depth knowledge of patient safety, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret clinical and workflow analytics
Ability to travel for team or customer meetings approximately 1-2 times per year
Sincere interest in engaging with customers, leading collaborative discussions, and confidently facilitating webinars and customer-facing presentations
A knack for working collaboratively within a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
