We’re searching for a Macedonia-based Application Security Engineer II to join our Security Operations team, so that we can strengthen the resilience of our engineering systems and protect critical patient data. The Application Security Engineer II will identify and mitigate software vulnerabilities through code reviews, penetration testing, and automation to ensure robust security across our global healthcare platform.


How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • Review code and perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Collaborate with development teams and document findings in order to recommend and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Embed secure coding practices and security controls to strengthen applications throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines in order to automate detection and enforcement.
  • Monitor systems and investigate incidents to detect threats and support remediation.
  • Diagnose security defects and performance issues in order to resolve root causes.
  • Support risk assessments, compliance, and audits to ensure regulatory and industry alignment.
  • Share security knowledge and improve processes in order to foster a security-aware culture and continuous improvement.

 


What Kind of Things We’re Most Interested in You Having 

  • Demonstrated experience applying secure coding practices and conducting code reviews to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in application development environments.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving technical issues in complex system architectures, utilising advanced debugging and analytical techniques to ensure application security and reliability.
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain automated security testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines for early detection and remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Experience building custom monitoring and observability solutions that enhance visibility into application performance and facilitate proactive incident response.
  • Track record of delivering high-quality security solutions on schedule, adhering to continuous delivery best practices and supporting team objectives through effective documentation and collaboration.
  • Proven success in designing and maintaining automated security testing frameworks within modern CI/CD environments.
  • In-depth knowledge on how to build custom monitoring and observability solutions that facilitate proactive incident response.
  • Ability to commute to our Skopje office as part of our hybrid working model to collaborate with local and global engineering teams.
  • Sincere interest in healthcare safety and a passion for using technology to prevent care delivery errors.
  • A knack for working collaboratively across multiple departments while leading through influence and technical expertise in a fast-paced environment.
