We're searching for a North Macedonia-based Engineering Manager I to join our engineering team, so that we can deliver robust, business-critical technical solutions that align with our objectives. The Engineering Manager I will lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Director, to build scalable, reliable, and continuously improved technical platforms that support safer healthcare for all.
How You'll Spend Your Time
Coordinate daily engineering team activities by setting clear performance metrics and supervising operational workflows to ensure efficiency, while analysing operational and technical data to track output against targets and recommend process improvements
Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges across multiple engineering domains by applying analytical troubleshooting techniques, identifying root causes, and systematically addressing performance bottlenecks or system failures to sustain reliability
Drive timely delivery of engineering solutions by planning, prioritising, and tracking project progress, while fostering technical reliability through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and robust code quality standards
Facilitate collaboration between engineering, product, and non-technical stakeholders to align technical execution with strategic business objectives, translating complex engineering concepts into actionable business recommendations
Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure visibility into performance and operational health, building optimised dashboards that present real-time system metrics to key stakeholders
Coach and mentor team members by sharing technical expertise and informal leadership, enabling career progression and fostering an inclusive team culture that values resourcefulness, adaptability, and continuous feedback
What Kind of Things We're Most Interested in You Having
2+ years' experience managing an engineering team (typically 6–12 engineers), with accountability for team performance, delivery, and day-to-day resourcing, plus budget input rather than independent budget ownership
Strong hands-on software-engineering background (full SDLC, modern frameworks, cloud platforms) with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; leadership or cloud certifications are a plus but not required
Exposure to operating in a regulated environment (healthcare, financial services, or similarly regulated industry), with a working understanding of security, governance, risk, and compliance considerations; experience of service ownership, including incident response, is beneficial
Demonstrated experience managing cross-disciplinary engineering teams, setting clear operational metrics, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, scalable technical solutions
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across software, infrastructure, and data environments, utilising advanced debugging and analytical skills
Hands-on experience with automated delivery pipelines (CI/CD), infrastructure as code, and continuous integration practices to optimise deployment frequency and team productivity, along with a track record of implementing robust observability and monitoring systems
By enabling flexibility in how we work and prioritizing employee wellness, we empower our team to do and be their best. Key benefits include private health and group accident insurance, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential support, and Loyalty Awards for long-service employees.

The R&D team is responsible for the robustness, reliability, as well as innovation of the platform that organizations depend on for safety, compliance, and workforce management insights.
