Martin Schmitt, began his work in healthcare as an outpatient Physical Therapist. He helped patients recover from injuries, regain their function and independence, as well as understand how to reduce their risk of injury recurrence. His clinical training gave him the foundation, but he learned that healthcare is "as much an art as it is a science."
He had many different experiences with patients that schooling couldn't have prepared him for.
Day in and day out, the clinic showed him something: "Even the most dedicated healthcare professionals can face challenges when workflows are inefficient, or communication breaks down."
A patient’s treatment success is significantly influenced by the systems and processes that support that person’s care. That’s why Martin values solutions that truly help healthcare organizations operate more safely and effectively.
Upon learning about RLDatix’s work and coming from a clinical background himself, he immediately recognized the parallels to the challenges he had personally experienced in the healthcare sector.
For Martin, making a difference on Team RLD means helping healthcare organizations achieve their goals while advancing safer, higher-quality care.
Drawing on his clinical experience as a physical therapist, Martin saw the value of proactive support on patient outcomes. Today, he brings that same perspective to his work with healthcare organizations, helping them navigate complex challenges and see how solutions like RLD360 can proactively support safer, more effective care.
Martin started with us as a Relationship Executive supporting contract renewals and compliance initiatives. In time, he grew in his role and is now a Sales Director, focused on enabling long-term customer value by building strong partnerships with healthcare organizations.
When he paused to reflect on what makes his work meaningful, he said, “Knowing that our success is directly tied to the success of our customers makes the work especially meaningful."
Martin’s breadth of influence has grown from improving individual patient outcomes to helping healthcare organizations create safer environments for patients and staff.
