Asia Tabler’s path into credentialing began with a moment of recognition.
While working as a medical assistant in a clinical environment, Asia supported patient visits and in-office procedures beginning her career in healthcare.
Her revelation came while pursuing her bachelor’s degree. She came across the concept of provider credentialing, which immediately stood out to her: a structured process designed to verify whether providers are eligible to receive privileges and perform procedures.
After accepting her first credentialing role, she quickly realized that this was the area of healthcare where she wanted to build her career.
That first credentialing role became the foundation for much of what she brings to RLDatix today. As a Credentialing Specialist, Asia worked with providers from start to finish, processing privileging applications, submitting payer applications, and managing FPPE (Focused Professional Practice Evaluation) and OPPE (Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation) data.
Later, Asia continued building that expertise as a CVO coordinator, supporting delegated credentialing for healthcare facilities. In that role, she prepared rosters, maintained provider records, and assisted with payer application submissions.
Looking back at her work, Asia explained how she developed a deep understanding of how credentialing connects to patient safety. Credentialing helps healthcare organizations:
- verify provider qualifications
- identify potential concerns
- support compliance
- make informed decisions about who is delivering care
By the time she joined RLDatix, Asia had seen credentialing from multiple angles. She understood the details, the pressure, the stakeholders, and the importance of getting the work right. Asia saw this role at RLD as an opportunity to move from the application processing side into work that more broadly impacts credentialing operations.
Today, Asia brings that firsthand credentialing experience into the way she supports both clients and her team as our Credentialing Account Manager, Solution Management. She understands how quickly applications can become complex, and she uses her background to help identify risks, navigate requirements, and move forward with clarity.
That perspective also makes her a valuable resource to her team, especially when challenging applications require additional attention or a deeper understanding of the credentialing process. Asia mentioned how she enjoys working alongside colleagues who understand the complexity of credentialing and are equally invested in supporting one another and the clients they serve.
That shared commitment reinforces the importance of the work, reminding her that credentialing is not an isolated administrative function. It is part of a larger healthcare ecosystem that supports safe, compliant, and effective care.
