Why did you decide to join RLDatix?

“When applying, I heard so many great things about the company, the way they communicate, and how satisfied employees are,” recalls Brankica. She summed up that her main reasons were that we offered a worthwhile mission, a noteworthy culture, and the opportunity to grow.  

What keeps you working here?

First and foremost, Brankica believes that working with people who inspire her and bring positivity to work every day is what makes working at RLDatix so extraordinary. Over the past five years, she has heard stories of RLDatix fulfilling its mission, and she inspires candidates by providing stories of our work in action so they can envision how their work will contribute to safer healthcare.

What does your role at RLDatix entail?

Brankica entered the world of recruitment as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, reviewing CVs, communicating with candidates, and scheduling interviews. As she continued to hone her skills, she was promoted to Recruiter, connecting talented individuals with our organizational goals and translating growth plans into real people with the skills and mindset to get us there.

Over time, the “how” behind the work began to fascinate her just as much as the “who.” She found herself increasingly drawn to the systems, data, and processes that quietly power the employee experience – the way HR technology connects each stage of the employee lifecycle. That curiosity, and a lot of thoughtful questions, eventually opened the door to her current role as an HR Solutions Analyst within the Corporate Information Systems team.

Today, Brankica supports the health and evolution of our HR systems. She partners closely with HR leaders and technical teams to test system changes, troubleshoot data issues, manage user access, and improve workflows so that the tools our teams rely on are accurate, reliable, and intuitive.

Brankica enjoys sitting at the intersection of people, process, and technology, where a small configuration change or a smarter workflow can create a better experience for employees across the organization. When she connects data resulting in a solution to a problem, Brankica lights up because she knows she has made a meaningful contribution to the bigger picture. 

What inspired you to work in the Corporate Information System (CIS) team?

For Brankica, the best part of working in CIS is being able to see, very tangibly, how her work helps others do theirs. She also appreciates that no two days are exactly the same. One day might involve testing a new feature or update; the next, she might be investigating a data issue or refining a workflow. Occasionally, she feels like she has “cracked the Da Vinci Code” when a test passes on the first try, which keeps the work exciting and rewarding.

Have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves? 

Truly telling of the data-focused analyst she is, Brankica believes that, “Data is only powerful when we understand the story it’s telling and use it to make people’s work lives better.”

Her advice? “Don’t wait until you feel ‘technical enough’ to step into this kind of role – start with curiosity, ask a lot of questions, learn how the business works, and the technical skills will grow with you.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

After work, Brankica enjoys swimming in peaceful, blue waters to take a moment and relax. But don’t be fooled: she leads a double life.

With friends and family, she plays the role of a perfectly normal human. At home, however, her six cats have recruited her to take on the role of a full-time pillow. She’s been thoroughly trained to “give treats and open doors on command,” and she’s pretty sure they’re working on full mind control.
