We're searching for a Chicago-based US Corporate Income Tax Manager to join our Global Tax & Treasury team, so that we can optimize our tax strategies while ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This individual contributor will develop and execute advanced tax strategies, manage regulatory compliance, and provide expert advisory support to drive business outcomes and support organizational growth.
How You'll Spend Your Time
Develop comprehensive tax strategies across multiple jurisdictions to maximize tax efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance
Interpret complex tax legislation and translate it into practical guidance in order to enable informed business decisions
Assess financial and tax-related risks through systematic reviews to implement mitigation strategies that safeguard organizational interests
Leverage advanced financial technology platforms and digital tools in order to enhance automation, accuracy, and efficiency of tax processes
Provide specialist expertise on tax matters for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring activities to support optimal deal structuring
Build and maintain relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration during audits and compliance initiatives
What Kind of Things We're Most Interested in You Having
5+ years of experience in a similar corporate tax role
Proven success in developing and implementing complex, multi-jurisdictional tax strategies that optimize efficiency while ensuring compliance
In-depth knowledge on how to interpret US federal, state, and local tax laws, ASC 740/IAS 12, US GAAP/IFRS, and corporate income tax regulations
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
A knack for working collaboratively within cross-functional teams while independently managing stakeholder relationships
Strong proficiency in tax preparation software, financial technology platforms, and advanced Excel
Ability to travel within US, Canada, and UK as needed (passport required)
