We’re searching for a Lead Product Owner to join our Optima team, so that we can drive delivery excellence while shaping the future of workforce management innovation. The Lead Product Owner will act as both a hands-on delivery leader and a coach for our Product Owner team, ensuring alignment to strategy, embedding Agile best practices, and guiding high-profile initiatives such as AI innovation and workforce transformation.

 

How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • Lead delivery for complex, high-impact initiatives (e.g., AI and workforce management innovation) to ensure Optima continues as a market-leading solution.

  • Coach and mentor Product Owners to strengthen delivery capability, foster growth, and drive consistent best practices.

  • Translate product strategy into actionable plans, balancing near-term goals with long-term vision.

  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, customers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions.

  • Analyse performance and delivery metrics (ADO, BI, and other tools) to track progress, manage risks, and maintain momentum.

 

 

 

What Kind of Things We’re Most Interested in You Having

  • Significant experience in Product Ownership or a transferable role (e.g., Scrum Master, Delivery Lead, Engineering Lead) with evidence of driving delivery.

  • Proven success in leading or line managing teams, with the ability to mentor and grow others.

  • Strong background in delivery discipline, analytics, and embedding transformational practices.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence working across technical, business, and customer audiences.

  • Ability to travel occasionally to the UK to engage with customers and stakeholders.

  • A collaborative, proactive mindset, with resilience under pressure and the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations.

  • Experience in workforce management or healthcare is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with reviewing squad performance indicators and collaborating with Product Operations to drive improvement.
