We’re searching for a Macedonia-based Engineering Manager to join our R&D team, so that we can drive operational excellence and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that strengthen healthcare safety. The Engineering Manager I will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, coordinating resources, upholding standards, and enabling delivery processes to achieve business goals and improve healthcare outcomes.
Organise and allocate technical resources across engineering domains to maximise productivity and project outcomes.
Coach and develop engineers and managers, fostering professional growth, technical excellence, and accountability within a distributed team.
Enable operational delivery by orchestrating sprint ceremonies, clarifying requirements, and ensuring accountability for meeting monthly and quarterly targets.
Guide problem resolution by clarifying complex technical issues, analysing root causes, and escalating when necessary to maintain system reliability.
Implement monitoring and observability practices, ensuring system health, proactive detection, and timely incident response.
Organise CI/CD adoption by enabling automation workflows, release schedules, and reliable frequent deployments.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Services, and Customer Success to translate evolving business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
Monitor costs and enforce compliance by ensuring adherence to operational policies, identifying optimisations, and contributing to financial accountability.
Proven experience leading technical engineering teams of 20–40 people in a delivery-focused environment.
Demonstrated ability to develop managers and senior engineers while scaling distributed teams across global time zones.
Skilled in strategic planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder alignment.
Solid understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 v2, HL7 FHIR, CDA, REST/JSON APIs, SOAP APIs).
Hands-on familiarity with interface engines (Qvera, Mirth/NextGen, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of secure data exchange protocols (TLS, OAuth2, SAML, OpenID Connect).
Working knowledge of healthcare compliance frameworks including HIPAA, GDPR, and NHS DSP Toolkit.
Familiarity with EHR vendors (Epic, Cerner) and workforce/HR systems (Workday, iTrent/MHR) highly desirable.
Experience with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 frameworks for enterprise data governance.
Track record of implementing observability practices, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable delivery frameworks.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
