We're searching for a Melbourne-based Data Archival Implementation Consultant to join our team to help shape the future of healthcare innovation.

Role Overview:

As a Data Archival Implementation Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering data archival solutions to healthcare clients across Australia.  You will support client-facing implementation activities, guide validation and testing efforts, and ensure successful deployment of VitalCenter Online (VCO).  This role blends project coordination, client engagement, and technical validation, requiring strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

You will work closely with project managers, technical consultants, and client stakeholders to ensure data integrity, system usability, and project success. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about improving healthcare through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Serve as the primary client-facing lead during VCO implementation phases, including staging, validation, go-live, and post-live support.

·         Conduct smoke testing and data integrity validation on sample patient records (2–10 patients initially, scaling up as needed).

·         Lead client walkthroughs of validation processes and triage reported issues using Galen’s Issue Tracker.

·         Deliver functional training and demonstrations to client teams.

·         Document meeting minutes, action items, and escalating blockers to the Galen team.

·         Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client-reported issues and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

·         Support change management and readiness activities in collaboration with SDPRIA and NSW Health stakeholders.

·         Participate in internal knowledge sharing, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience/Knowledge/Competencies You Will Need:

·         2+ years of experience in healthcare IT, preferably in EMR, ERP, HR, or payroll systems.

·         Strong understanding of healthcare data workflows and retention requirements.

·         Experience with data validation, testing coordination, and client training.

·         Familiarity with SQL, ETL workflows, and cloud-based platforms is a plus.

·         Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

·         Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.

·         Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Health Information Management, or a related field.

By enabling flexibility in how we work and prioritising employee wellness, we empower our team to do and be their best.
