Fiona Sykes, our United States-based Global Director of Marketing Communications, has been with RLDatix for the past three years and has had an immense impact on how customers view and understand our products.

From building and continuously improving our brand tone and voice, to leading our global messaging, she showcases our core value of “Passion with Purpose” every day. We sat down with Fiona to chat about life at RLDatix, her career journey so far, and what she’s been up to outside of work.

Why did you decide to join RLDatix?

“I buy-in to the mission and vision of our business. We are doing work that is making healthcare safer for our communities globally by enabling our healthcare workers to focus their time on caring for patients.

From a career standpoint, RLDatix is a great place to grow and learn — rapidly scaling the business gives individuals the opportunity to scale as leaders, too.”

What keeps you working here?

“No two days are the same — no two hours are the same! I like the challenge of our work and the way it keeps my brain stimulated.

I am fortunate to work with other bright, kind colleagues who are eager to collaborate, push the envelope of what is possible and who envision a better world.”

Fiona goes on to share specifically what makes her direct team so enjoyable to work with:

“I absolutely love our team. Everyone is sharp, thoughtful and most importantly — everyone has a quick and clever sense of humor.”

What does your current role at RLDatix entail?

“Our team guides RLDatix’s brand awareness, tone of voice, media coverage and public relations in addition to managing executive communications and RLDatix’s reputation. We do this by collaborating with our other regional and functional leaders to bring customer stories to life, elevate our executives’ brands, establish RLDatix as a thought leader within the industry, and publicly celebrate our wins and manage through losses.”

What has your career trajectory at RLDatix looked like?

“I joined the company as a healthcare writer, developing executive thought leadership content across the business globally. Shortly after joining, I stepped into the role of Marketing Communications Manager and started building out our communications strategy for RLDatix, bringing on Fathma Rahman as our communications leader and further expanding our team. We have continued to grow, and since 2023, I have served as the Global Director of Marketing Communications.”

What are your favorite parts of working in Communications?

“I love the fast-paced nature of communications and that there is always a fresh, new challenge that you couldn’t have predicted. Communications is incredibly strategic. It’s like chess, you always have to be thinking 10 steps ahead. And even then, there is always so much that pops up that is unexpected. I enjoy brainstorming and problem-solving with our team.”

Do you have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

“Get curious! Make connections — and ask questions. I’ve been very fortunate to have many wonderful mentors and colleagues throughout my career and I love talking to folks who are considering their next career step and could use a sounding board.”

Fiona also shares one of the biggest lessons he’s learned in her career so far:

“I have gotten so much good advice I try to put into practice every day. But nothing stays with you like what you learn on the job yourself — my biggest lessons have come through being thrown into the fire and mistakes. I make an effort to reflect on things that didn’t go smoothly and identify areas for improvement. The reality is that we can only control our own contributions to a larger scenario. Did I learn something that could help me to improve a process? How could I prepare more in advance? How can I be a better partner to my colleagues?

I can still remember a communication I put out to several tens of thousands of people several years ago that was incomplete and it haunts me to this day! But now, I never put any addresses in the “to” box of a mass email until the message is fully proofed. A small lesson, but one I think about all of the time.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

“I am fortunate enough to live in a place where I can be active and outside year-round. We spend most of our free time in the summer on the beach, swimming and playing beach games. In the winter, we still visit the beach for walks, but transition to other outdoor activities and travel for winter snow sports. I practice yoga and enjoy hosting friends and throwing parties! Lately, we’ve been enjoying nightly crosswords.”

Olivera Maksimovska, our Macedonia-based Regional Facilities Manager, has been with us for just over nine years.

From her start as an Office Administrator to her current leadership role overseeing facilities across Europe, Olivera has seen RLDatix grow, playing an integral part in our evolution.

We caught up with her to learn more about her career journey, current role, and what she’s up to outside of work.

Why did you decide to join RLDatix?

Olivera’s journey with RLDatix began when she joined as one of the first 10 employees in Skopje, Macedonia, when the company was in its early stages in the market.

"The opportunity to join a young, growing company and help shape its future was incredibly exciting," she recalls. She was eager to “contribute to the company’s development and take on meaningful challenges."

What keeps you working here?

For Olivera, the continued opportunity for professional growth, her supportive teammates, and the dynamic environment at RLDatix keep her engaged.

"The variety of challenges and the chance to work with talented colleagues is incredibly motivating," she says. "Every day brings something new, and the teamwork and culture of continuous learning inspire me to keep growing in my career."

What does your current role at RLDatix entail?

As the Regional Facility Manager, Olivera is responsible for managing the financial and operational aspects of RLDatix’s real estate portfolio across multiple countries. This includes overseeing property management processes, ensuring compliance, and managing budgets and forecasts.

She works closely with various teams, such as Accounting, Compliance, IT, and HR, to ensure efficient space utilization and smooth operations. "I’m constantly focused on ensuring that our facilities operate at their best and that we’re optimizing the spaces we occupy," she explains.

What has your career trajectory at RLDatix looked like?

She first started with us as an Office Administrator and later was promoted into an Office Manager role. She then played a key part in a major office relocation, which helped pave the way for her current role.

"The transition to managing facilities across Europe was a big step for me," she reflects. "It allowed me to take on more responsibility and work on projects that truly align with my strengths."

What is the biggest lesson you've learned in your career so far?

One of Olivera’s biggest lessons is around the importance of how we view professional challenges. "Every obstacle presents an opportunity to grow and learn," she shares. "It’s important to approach each situation with a positive mindset, knowing that overcoming difficulties will make you stronger."

Do you have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

For those interested in facilities management, Olivera advises focusing on building strong organizational and analytical skills. "It’s crucial to be detail-oriented and proactive," she says. "Being able to balance financial management with operational efficiency is key." She also encourages aspiring professionals to stay current with industry trends and regulations, as continuous learning is essential in this field.

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

When she’s not at work, Olivera enjoys spending time with her family. "I love reading children’s books to my 3-year-old son and enjoying quality time with my loved ones," she says. She also loves to spend time with her 4-year-old Havapoo, Coco.

When not at home with family, Olivera’s favorite place to travel is Spain. "The food, climate, hospitality, and language make it a place I always look forward to visiting," she says.

Comic Loving, Cloud Engineer

Kareem Carter, our U.S.-based Senior Cloud Engineer joined RLDatix just seven months ago but has already helped to drive innovation and ensure that our systems are optimized.

We sat down with him to learn more about his career journey, what motivates him, and what he’s been up to outside of work.

Why did you decide to join RLDatix?

“I was drawn to RLDatix because of the meaningful work the company does in improving healthcare and the exciting technology stacks planned for the future,” Kareem says. The positive and supportive leadership on the team also played a big role in his decision. “It stood out to me as a key factor in fostering growth and collaboration,” he adds.

What keeps you working here?

For Kareem, it’s the incredible team and the impactful projects that keep him engaged at RLDatix. “The dedication and expertise of the engineers on my team, combined with the forward-thinking technology stacks we’re implementing, make this an environment where I can grow, contribute, and truly enjoy the work I do,” he shares.

The supportive management structure continues to be a major draw as well. “It’s rewarding to work in an environment where collaboration is valued, and everyone is committed to success.”

What does your current role at RLDatix entail?

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, Kareem is responsible for managing RLDatix’s cloud environments. His role includes ensuring the systems are optimized, secure, and highly available. He also oversees a team of engineers, providing guidance and leadership to help them maintain and improve Infrastructure. “It’s all about creating scalable, efficient systems that can meet the needs of our growing business and customers,” he explains.

What has your career trajectory at RLDatix looked like?

What are your favorite projects so far?

One of Kareem’s favorite projects in his first six months was leading the development and migration to containers in Kubernetes. “It was incredibly rewarding to implement scalable, modern infrastructure solutions that significantly improved performance and efficiency across our environments,” Kareem reflects. This project allowed the team to enhance the flexibility and scalability of the infrastructure, an achievement he is particularly proud of.

What’s it like working on your immediate team?

“My engineers are some of the smartest and hardest-working individuals I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with,” he says. His favorite part of working with the team is seeing their innovative solutions come to life and make a real impact. “It’s incredibly satisfying to watch their ideas turn into tangible results that drive success for RLDatix.”

What originally inspired you to work in Cloud Engineering?

Kareem was inspired to work in cloud engineering because of his passion for building scalable, efficient systems and the transformative potential of technology. Before entering the cloud field, Kareem had a background in traditional IT infrastructure.

“I was fascinated by the way cloud technologies could solve complex problems and create new opportunities for innovation,” he explains. This fascination led him to shift focus and pursue a career in cloud engineering.

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

Outside of work, Kareem is a freelance digital designer and video editor, as well as an avid gamer and cinephile. He’s also a proud father to two awesome boys, and a pet parent to a goldendoodle named Miles Morales—a nod to his life-long love of Spiderman.

Globetrotting, Data Maven

Julia Snapp, our US-based VP of Data Migration Services, has been with Galen Healthcare Solutions, an RLDatix company, for almost the past 12 years and has been instrumental in our growth and success.

From building out a team to better support our customers to always keeping the impact of our work in mind, she truly embodies our Core Value pillar of Passion with Purpose. We sat down with Julia to chat about life at RLDatix, her career journey, and what she’s been up to outside of work.

Why did you decide to start working here?

Prior to joining us, Julia had always wanted to work in healthcare but has a self-described weak stomach. She even remembers a time that she almost fainted when she saw a CPR dummy being wheeled by her! With that in mind, she decided being involved in a less direct fashion may be the best route for her and has worked for companies involved in Electronic Health Records (EHRs) since her first college internship.

Julia shares what led her to take on her first role here as a Professional Services Manager:

“I wanted to be able to make an impact and have a voice. I wanted to continue to work in healthcare IT, especially supporting Epic.”

What keeps you working here?

Julia highlights that the great people she gets to work with are a huge part of her continuing to work here:

“My coworkers. I work with some of the smartest and most fun people. We all have varying backgrounds and expertise. We are always collaborating and learning from each other.”

When asked what her favorite parts of working on the Data Migration team are, she shares:

“Every day is a new day, so it’s never boring. We work together to solve problems. No one knows everything, so to figure it out, there is a lot of collaboration and discussion. My coworkers are very hard workers, that come every day willing to put in the time and effort. The work isn’t easy so when we finish something, there is a great feeling of accomplishment.”

What does your current role at RLDatix entail?

Julia first started out as a manager on our Professional Services team and worked her way up into her current role as VP of Data Migration. She felt that it was a natural progression as she was helping to support migration projects, especially those going to Epic. From there, she started to form a migration team to establish a methodology and build out efficiencies to improve our offerings.

Today, her current role consists of overseeing the data migration service line, where we help healthcare organizations transfer data from one EHR to another to support continuity of care. She explains that “some EHR transitions are due to mergers and acquisitions while others are due to system replacement. Our methodology is constantly changing as migrations are becoming more common and EHRs are building out more data types that can be converted.”

What are your favorite parts of working in Data Migration?

“Making a difference and being a small piece to a much larger initiative. Many times, we are brought in to solve very complex scenarios. It is fun to be able to think critically, strategically, and sometimes big!”

Do you have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

“Find your passion and try to find a job that aligns with it. It will keep you motivated even on the hardest days. The purpose will get you through.

Specifically for data migrations, being analytical is key. We can’t train you for every situation. So, when you are looking at the data, you have to approach it analytically and ask questions from all different angles.”

Julia also has some great advice for managers and team leaders in general:

“You can accomplish so much more by finding people’s strengths and giving them work that allows them to shine. Sometimes, when someone is struggling, it may be that they are not working on the right thing.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

When she says she likes to travel, that may be a slight understatement. She’s been to 6 continents, almost 30 countries, and has even lived in three of those countries! She wants to inspire that same love of travel in her children by bringing them to five different states a year but shares that it’s “getting harder since they are now four and seven years old.”

Phil Anderson, Technical Manager on the VCO Archival Implementation team, has been with Galen Health Care, An RLDatix Company for over 10 years and has had a deep impact on crucial client implementations.

From leading key implementations like MEDITECH and Cerner Powerchart, to always working to earn the trust of his teammates and clients, he showcases our core value of Customer-Focused.

We sat down with Phil to chat about his career journey so far, and what he’s been up to outside of work.

What led you to join the team?

Phil’s journey into healthcare was initially inspired by a friend’s suggestion to become a nurse—though he quickly realized that wasn’t for him! With a degree in business finance, he found his niche in healthcare tech, embracing a role that blends technical skills with client engagement.

His path to joining the team was a serendipitous one. While preparing for a big life change—becoming a parent and moving to Vermont from Boston—he attended a career fair in Burlington. It was there he met the team, who coincidentally had offices in both Boston and Burlington. This fortunate encounter started Phil’s decade-plus (so far!) career journey with us. He remembers, “The director of the Technical Services team connected with me on LinkedIn later that afternoon and the rest is history.”

What keeps you working here?

When asked what he loves about working at Galen, Phil emphasized the genuine connections he shares with his team. “It’s liberating to be yourself,” he said, appreciating the supportive environment that allows everyone to showcase their strengths. He also feels that he thrives here, enjoying the blend of technical challenges and direct client interaction. “It keeps you on your toes!” he shares.

“I really enjoy the people I work with. Everyone is very genuine in that I feel like the people I work with are the people I would know if I was at their home. It’s liberating to be able to be yourself, which allows you to use some of your strengths that might not always be appreciated in other work environments.”

What does your current role at RLDatix entail?

What has your career trajectory at RLDatix looked like?

Phil first joined the team with a background in Data Integrations, building interfaces between various healthcare systems. He shares a bit about his promotion to Technical Manager:

“This was something I was working on and discussing with my boss at the time for a few years. I knew during the time before the promotion, that he was advocating for me and working with the other managers to find a place for me. It was extremely rewarding to be recognized for the work I put in and that I had value to share with a team I was going to manage.

What does your current role entail?

As Technical Manager on the VCO Archival Implementation team, Phil leads a dedicated team of 12 techs, focusing on project management and implementation processes. He goes on to elaborate:

“In my role I actively manage our team, discuss project resourcing, and refine our implementation process. My favorite part is getting together with our directors and the other VCO implementation managers. We all get along well and can be truthful with each other.”

Do you have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

For those looking to enter the field, Phil advises aligning your strengths with your work:

“Understand your strengths and weaknesses. Make sure your strengths align with the type of work you are doing. While it’s good to work on your weaknesses, you will see greater gains when you align your strengths, the things you are naturally good at, with the work.”

He also shares the biggest lesson he’s learned in his career so far:

“Don’t be afraid to take risks and fail. If you are honest and transparent, people are forgiving and will help you along. I found this was the best way to learn new things, because there is so much to learn in the unknown, and overcoming that fear is the best way to move forward.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

During his time away from work, Phil likes to spend his time playing the drums and mountain biking. He’s also a fan of spending time in Long Island with his family.

Sandra Ampova, one of our Macedonia-based Service Desk Analysts, has been with RLDatix for three years.

Beginning her journey as an Associate Service Desk Analyst, her diverse professional background, deep passion for technology, and drive to help others paved the way for her growth into her current role.

We sat down with Sandra to learn more about her journey, her current role, and what she’s up to outside of work.

What led you to join the team?

Before joining RLDatix, Sandra worked in various technical roles, including supporting ProtonVPN, servicing surgical equipment, and working as an electronics servicer. “The opportunity at RLDatix allowed me to combine all my previous experiences, even though they were from different fields,” Sandra explains. “It offered flexibility and room for growth, which was something I was really looking for at that stage in my career.”

What keeps you here?

“The people I work with make all the difference. I have the best manager and teammates, and that is the key to success in any role,” she shares. “The team atmosphere here in Skopje is warm, friendly, and always ready to help when you need it. That’s something I value every day.”

What does your current role entail?

As a Service Desk Analyst, Sandra’s role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of RLDatix’s internal systems. She’s the first line of support for employees, troubleshooting issues, providing quick resolutions, and escalating more complex matters to the appropriate teams. “No two days are the same,” she says. “Some days, we get funny requests, and other times, it’s something more serious. But the key is always to help our colleagues as quickly and efficiently as possible.”

What has your career trajectory at RLDatix looked like?

Sandra started at RLDatix as an Associate Service Desk Analyst, and her background gave her a unique perspective that has proven valuable in her current role. “Working in various technical roles before coming here gave me the foundation to understand the challenges that come with IT support,” Sandra says. Over time, she grew into her current position where she is responsible for providing support for all internal users at RLDatix.

“It’s all about problem-solving and helping people,” Sandra reflects. “That’s what motivated me to get into this field, and it’s why I’ve stayed in this role.”

Do you have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

Sandra believes that patience and communication skills are just as important as technical expertise in IT support. “It’s not an easy field, and you need to have the right mindset. Patience and understanding are key,” she says. “Being able to connect with users and empathize with their challenges is just as important as the technical knowledge you bring to the table.”

Sandra’s biggest career lesson is the importance of working with a supportive team. “No matter how good you are at your job, having a team that supports your growth is essential,” she shares. “A strong team environment can make all the difference in your success.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

Outside of work, Sandra is an avid outdoors enthusiast. She loves riding mountain bikes, hiking, and camping. “Being in nature and pushing myself physically is such a great way to clear my mind and escape from the usual routine,” she says. “Whether it’s a mountain bike ride or a camping trip, I enjoy the adventure and the opportunity to explore new places.”

When it comes to travel, Sandra has a few favorite spots. “London, Dubrovnik, and Vienna are among my favorites,” she says. “I love places that combine history with modernity. These cities have preserved their historic charm while embracing the future, and they offer a perfect balance of city life and nature.”

Tom Ross

Tom Ross, our UK-based Product Manager for Optima at RLDatix, has been with the company for almost 10 years. From his start in Customer Success to his current leadership role in Product Management, Tom has played a pivotal role in shaping our product, Optima, into one of the most important products in the healthcare sector.

We caught up with Tom to learn more about his career journey, his role at RLDatix, and what he enjoys doing outside of work.

What led you to join the team?

Tom’s path to RLDatix first began when he was a customer of the company, implementing Optima at his local hospital. This firsthand experience with the product gave him valuable insight into its impact on healthcare providers. Tom later joined RLDatix as one of the first members of the Customer Success team, a role that allowed him to bring his perspective as a user to help support other customers. His passion for improving products and solving customer challenges eventually led him to transition into Product Management, where he now leads the strategic vision for Optima.

What keeps you here?

When asked what keeps him at RLDatix after over a decade, Tom points to the company’s mission and the meaningful impact it has on healthcare. “The reason I came here and the reason I’ve stayed is because of the difference we make in healthcare,” Tom says. “Our work helps clinicians solve real problems, and that’s incredibly rewarding.”

But it’s not just the work that keeps him engaged; it’s also the people. “I’ve built strong relationships with my colleagues over the years,” Tom explains.

“The people here are genuine, and there’s a strong sense of camaraderie. I’m surrounded by people who care about the work and about each other, and that makes all the difference.”

What does your current role entail?

As the Product Manager for Optima, Tom is responsible for defining the strategic direction of the product, deciding which features to prioritize, and working closely with internal teams and customers to ensure the product meets the evolving needs of healthcare providers. He also serves as the face of Optima, representing the product to both internal and external stakeholders.

“My role is to ensure that Optima is always improving and evolving to meet the needs of our customers,” Tom explains. “I work with our internal teams and customers to prioritize the most important features and ensure that we’re delivering value to the people who use Optima every day. It’s all about making sure that we’re solving real healthcare problems.”

What has your career trajectory at RLDatix looked like?

Tom’s career at RLDatix has been shaped by his passion for customer success and product development. After transitioning to Customer Success, Tom realized his desire to be more involved in shaping the product itself. His role in Product Management now allows him to bring the customer’s perspective into the product development process.

“I always wanted to help improve the product,” Tom reflects. “Working in Customer Success gave me so much insight into the challenges that healthcare providers face. That feedback and experience really drove my transition into Product Management.”

What’s one of your biggest professional inspirations?

Tom finds inspiration in the work that healthcare professionals do every day. “The dedication and passion that clinicians bring to their work is a huge inspiration for me,” he says. “They face challenges that are far beyond what most people can imagine and knowing that our product helps them do their jobs more effectively is incredibly motivating.”

He also draws inspiration from his colleagues. “I’m constantly inspired by the people I work with. Everyone here is so dedicated to making a difference, and that passion is contagious.”

Do you have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

For those interested in Product Management or a similar role, Tom’s advice is to be proactive and open to feedback. “The best product managers are proactive, creative, and open to hearing feedback from everyone. You must understand your customers’ needs and be humble enough to admit when something isn’t working,” he says.

He also emphasizes the importance of empathy. “Product management is all about solving problems. The more you can empathize with your customers, the better you’ll be at identifying the right solutions.”

Tom’s biggest lesson is one that emphasizes the importance of follow-through: “Simply doing what you say you’re going to do will get you further in your career than you realize. Trust is built on consistency, and it’s one of the most important things I’ve learned.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

Outside of work, Tom is an avid music lover. He enjoys going to live gigs, collecting vinyl records—especially in metal and death metal—and exploring a wide range of musical genres. Tom also has two house rabbits, Eevee and Cloud, who, despite their antisocial tendencies, are part of his family. In fact, he’s even created an Instagram account for them!

He’s also a fan of travel, with his favorite place to travel being Melbourne, Australia. “Melbourne always feels like home to me,” he says. “There’s a certain energy and vibe in the city that I really connect with. It’s one of those places that always feels comfortable and inspiring, and I can’t wait to go back again.”

Skye Wattie, our Canada-based Director, Technical Services, has been with RLDatix for the past 12 years and has had a huge impact on our culture and those he’s managed during that time.

From constantly working to improve his leadership skills to exhibiting the importance of building strong team dynamics, he showcases our core value of Community Spirit every day. We sat down with Skye to chat about life at RLDatix, his career journey so far, and what he’s been up to outside of work.

What led you to join RLDatix?

Before joining RLDatix, Skye studied Business, Psychology, and Statistics. He started working in long-term care and stumbled upon Project Management through a healthcare connection. It turned out that healthcare IT Project Management was a great fit with his skills and interests!

Skye shares that he had read positive reviews from current employees before his interview. It was the interview that really sealed the deal, he explains:

“The interview affirmed that my colleagues would be collaborative, supportive, driven, ethical, and value workplace fun. Supporting healthcare to become safer also seemed like a meaningful and important purpose.”

What does your current role entail?

“An important aspect of my role is reducing barriers for our team to deliver value to customers during projects. This process improvement requires data analysis, a lot of cross-functional collaboration, plus constant consultation between team members and customers. My favorite aspects of the job include recognition, team building, and coaching for development”.

What has your career trajectory at RLDatix looked like?

Skye started as a co-op student (also referred to as an intern) twelve years ago in a Project Coordinator role. Since then, he’s worked in various implementation roles, gradually scaling to leading larger and more complex implementation projects. He shares a bit about how his role has evolved over time:

“I transitioned into managing a small and specialized technical team. After a couple of years of managing, several different technical teams merged with a rapidly changing organization, and I took the leap to try managing a larger global team. I haven’t looked back since, although the role has and still does challenge me, I wouldn’t have it any other way”.

What are your favorite parts of working in Technical Services?

“I get to learn from both clinical and technical subject matter experts. I also work with a wide array of compassionate professionals who know a lot more than I do about a lot of topics, so learning is constant.”

Do you have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

“Be humble. The less you care about getting credit, the more problems you will solve. Humility is the base for growth, and continuous growth is essential.”

Skye also shares one of the biggest lessons he’s learned in his career so far:

“I’m still working on the skill of coaching. Resist the urge to solve problems for people when they come to you with an issue. People often don’t want a solution. Sometimes people want a sounding board, validation, or feedback. And when people really don’t know what to do, asking calibrated questions to trigger ideas often will increase agency and provide growth opportunities, as long as the individual has the opportunity and autonomy to solve the problem themself”.

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

Skye is a huge fan of staying active and spending time outdoors, especially Killarney Provincial Park in Ontario, which he deems his “happy place”. He considers himself a foodie and loves backcountry camping, so is naturally always thinking of creative gourmet backcountry meals to make. Not only is Skye a pet Dad (to a rescue Beagle mix, Bullet, and a 13-year-old cat named Collin with a penchant for rubber band collecting), but he’s also welcomed another addition to the family:

“I have a one-year-old, so right now, I’m enjoying a slower pace and watching him discover the world.”

Daniel Stephens, our UK-based Senior Human Resources Advisor, has been with RLDatix for almost three years and has had a huge impact on its culture during that time.

From establishing the Mental Health First Aider program in our UK offices to providing excellent day-to-day support to our teams, he embodies our Core Value pillar of Community Spirit in everything he does. We sat down with Daniel to chat about life at RLDatix, his career journey so far, and what he’s been up to outside of work.

What led you to join the team?

Before joining RLDatix (formerly Allocate), Daniel spent the previous three years studying Psychology at Oxford Brookes University. His passion for Human Psychology not only led him to develop a natural interest in Human Resources but also sparked his desire to help people, which aligned with RLDatix’s vision of enabling safer healthcare for all.

Daniel remembers that he really connected with the team members who participated in his interview process, making accepting his first role at the company, Human Resources Advisor, an easy decision.

What keeps you here?

Daniel shares that there are several reasons he’s chosen to stay at RLDatix over the years:

“One factor is flexibility, as I like to come into the Richmond office and work with everyone, but I also appreciate a couple of days to focus on projects from home. The opportunities for growth, both professionally and personally, are great – thanks to the company, I am currently studying for my CIPD Level 5 qualification alongside my role. I have also found mentorship from our CHRO, Jennifer Mounce, extremely beneficial.”

In addition to the ability to work in different locations, career growth, and mentorship, he also highlights his appreciation for his team and their constant collaboration, specifically. Daniel mentions that his “favorite part of working in the HR Team is that even though everyone is busy and getting on with their own items, people are always willing to help if needed.”

What does your role at RLDatix entail?

Daniel started out as a Human Resources Advisor, focusing on generating contracts, sending out letters, and managing the employee lifecycle from start to finish. He then shifted focus to Payroll and Benefits for six months, expanding his knowledge of everything pay-related.

In his current role as Senior HR Advisor, he explains, “I provide hands-on support in all aspects of HR, including employee relations, talent and performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development. I also take responsibility for inducting all new starters in the UK. I act as a point of contact for all in the UK&I function, providing my expertise and advice wherever needed.”

What is your favorite part of working in HR?

“I love helping people, so anytime I get queries that I can provide advice on, agree on flexible working conditions for employees, or even solve complex problems for department managers, I feel a strong sense of accomplishment.”

Do you have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

“For HR specifically, I would say to always think of both the individual and the big-picture impact. In general, I think it is crucial to remain open to learning. There will always be people who can teach you things that can help you develop.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

Daniel likes to hit the gym during his free time, play beach volleyball with friends, and travel. When asked about his favorite travel locations, he shares his love for “Asia because of the culture and food. Vietnam has been [his] favorite trip, and [he’s] trying to visit ten different countries this year, including Thailand”.

Gregg Stetson

Gregg Stetson, one of our US-based Associate Software Engineers, has been with Galen Healthcare Solutions, an RLDatix company, for the past three years and has grown a ton professionally during that time.

From being nervous about applying to his initial role to learning a whole new coding language from the ground up and excelling, he truly exhibits the Be Bold pillar of our Core Values. We sat down with Gregg to chat about life at RLDatix, his career journey, and what he’s been up to outside of work.

What led you to join the team?

Before joining us, Gregg earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from Saint Michael’s College. After graduation, he spent some time in the service industry, eventually deciding to move into a career path he felt was more stable in the long term. He remembered how much he enjoyed the coding classes he had previously taken and set out in search of a job that would scratch that itch.

During his job search, Gregg recalls that his friend “could not stop boasting about how great Galen was”. That glowing review gave him the nudge he needed to apply, but he was nervous he wouldn’t be a fit with his non-traditional background. He took the plunge anyway, and he’s glad he did! He shares:

“The transition was certainly difficult. I had to learn a whole new coding language from the ground up, but it has felt great being able to clearly see my progress as the time goes by.”

What keeps you working here?

Gregg shares what has been most influential in his decision to continue working here:

“The people I work with are awesome, and everyone is always willing to help. I did not come into this company with the usual degrees or understanding of different languages, but with the help of my peers I have been able to make great strides to be where I am today.”
He emphasizes how instrumental his direct team has been in his continued learning and growth:

“Everyone is very laid back and extremely helpful. As the newbie I am always bothering them for help and it’s sweet how willing everyone is to jump on a call and walk me through whatever I may need help on.”

What does your role here entail?

Gregg entered the company as an Associate Technical Consultant on the Archival Implementations team four years ago. After about three years, there was an opportunity for him to move to the software side of the business. His current role as an Associate Software Engineer has been built on his prior experience using the application he now supports. He feels he was able to move into his current role by “showing how much [he] had grown as a tech over those previous three years”.

Today, his role consists of, “Providing support to our Archival Implementations team around the use of our ArchivalEtl application. That can include bug fixes, plugin performance updates, or implementation of a new plugin or process.”

What are your favorite parts of working in Software Engineering?

“Every day is different. I could be working on a new plugin request for a few weeks, but within that there are always bugs being found to fix, updates to be made, and so on. . Having each day always been different in that sense helps keep it exciting.”

Do you have any advice for people looking into Software Engineering?

“If I can do it, so can you. I did not have any experience coming in. I took a brief online course, watched a ton of YouTube videos, and just started coding. If you’re willing to put the effort in, it will all work out.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

During his off time, Gregg can usually be found in the great outdoors with his loyal dog Mugsy, a 9-year-old Mutt who’s been his companion since graduating college. From camping, hiking, and biking during the summer to snowboarding in the winter, he always has something active to fill his time.

One of his favorite places to explore has been “The Little Grand Canyon” near Moab, Utah. He shares a bit about why:

“When I briefly lived in Salt Lake City (near Moab), I would drive down on weekends and hike around the area and then camp out on the top of the canyon. It’s one of the coolest views I have ever seen."

Ana Nikolovska, our Germany-based Senior Renewal Specialist, has been with RLDatix for over 6.5 years.

From ensuring a smooth experience for our customers to constantly improving processes, she exhibits the Customer Focused pillar of our Core Values every day. We sat down with Ana to chat about life at RLDatix, her career journey, and what she’s been up to outside of work.

Why did you decide to join RLDatix?

Before joining RLDatix, Ana worked for a variety of companies where she focused on client networking, administrative work, and becoming very familiar with different CRM systems. She credits this part of her career with helping to build the “solid foundation in CRM and communication”, making her prepared for her role here.

She became interested in her initial Renewal Specialist role at RLDatix because she was, “drawn to the dynamic nature of client interactions and the intricacies of contract management”. On top of the role itself sounding exciting, she says that ultimately it was the awesome people she’d get a chance to work with, that lead her to decide to work here.

What keeps you working here?

Ana shares what has been most influential in his decision to continue working here:

“Throughout my journey, the individuals I’ve crossed paths with, the teamwork, and the essence of the work itself have solidified my belief that as a team, we are a vital link in the circle, contributed to continue my career in RLDatix.”

She goes on to share how the team is what sets RLDatix apart from the rest:

“The support I receive from both my colleagues and management is invaluable. Their understanding and compassion during challenging times, both personally and professionally, further strengthen our bonds and enhance our workplace environment.”

What does your current role at RLDatix entail?

Ana first started at RLDatix as a Renewal Specialist and worked her way up to her current title of Senior Renewal Specialist.

Today, her role involves “managing subscription contracts with our clients, needing close collaboration with clients themselves, account managers, and finance teams”. Her team’s main goal is to ensure all subscription renewals are finalized on time, which means meticulous attention to detail and thorough preparation are a huge part of their work!

Ana shares her immense pride in and appreciation for her team:

“I’m not one to hold back when I say we truly are the best team. The fact that we’ve welcomed three new additions in recent months speaks volumes. We have a mutual understanding and consistently support each other in every aspect.”

What are your favorite parts of working as a Sr. Renewal Specialist?

“The role demands extensive daily interaction with clients and internal teams at RLDatix. It may sound cliché, but the satisfaction of our clients directly translates to my own happiness. Nevertheless, the memory of the Aptus project remains vivid; a collective effort where colleagues rallied together during the transition from our old CRM system to Salesforce.”

She goes on to share what really drives her, in her role:

“The daily engagement with diverse individuals fuels my passion for this role. As each day concludes, achieving the goals I’ve set forth brings a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. Additionally, facilitating knowledge transfer to new team members not only reinforces my own understanding but also contributes to the growth and cohesion of our team.”

Do you have any advice for people looking to move into this area of business?

“It’s all about embracing a love for learning and remaining open to change.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

During Ana’s time off, she can usually be found playing outside with her son!

She’s also a fan of traveling when she has the time, and especially loves traveling to London for the culture, parks, and museums.

We took a moment to ask Mai about her story, her work at RLDatix, and the passions that keep her busy after work.

Why did you decide to join RLDatix?

Mai reflects that she looked into roles at RLDatix because of our reputation in Saudi Arabia’s market.

What keeps you working here?

What she enjoys most about being a member of TeamRLD is the collaborative spirit among the team, where people respect and support each other.

What does your role at RLDatix entail?

Implementing RLDatix softwares in healthcare organizations and advising customers on best practices, improved design, processes, and utilization of their systems.

What are your favorite parts of working in Professional Services?

"Before joining RLDatix, I was a Clinical Laboratory and Healthcare Quality Specialist for 15 years. I've decided to shift my career to do something that offers more potential for growth and was inspired when I saw an open role at RLDatix. Now, I am able to help people and solve their problems with technology and innovation.”

Do you have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

Mai answers that what someone truly needs to succeed in Professional Services are three qualities: patience, persistence, and resilience.

In her free time, Mai reads, writes, and draws. She also brings her artistic license to the kitchen baking and dabbling with new pastry recipes with a long list of favorites.

Jivesh Dunraj, our Australia-based APAC Customer Support Manager, has been with RLDatix for the past 7 years championing both professional development and team success.

He has enjoyed empowering those around him through leading training sessions focused on advanced troubleshooting, client rapport building, and cultivating the right mindset. A big win for Jivesh was the creation of our APAC Confluence page which streamlined our support processes. From his work at RLDatix to his hobbies after hours, we got to know Jivesh a little better during our recent chat.

Why did you decide to join RLDatix?

Jivesh liked the flexibility of working from home and the office. He also knew that he would thrive in our agile and dynamic environment.

What keeps you working here?

Our mission to help raise the standard of care everywhere resonates with many of our team members. This is also true for Jivesh.

He described healthcare as “an industry where every piece of work contributes to saving lives or making care safer. Some of the stories we hear from clients are nothing short of inspiring.”

What has your career trajectory at RLDatix looked like?

“RLDatix supports my professional growth, allowing me to continuously develop my skills. It’s a bit like parkour – always adapting, always moving forward, and occasionally leaping over obstacles,” reflects Jivesh.

Jivesh began his journey at RLDatix as a Support Analyst reviewing initial customer inquiries and monitoring tickets to ensure customer satisfaction.

He has had multiple positions since then. “Each role has offered me new challenges and growth opportunities, leading me to my current role. My journey has been like a well-choreographed martial arts sequence – each move building upon the last, leading to a powerful finish.”

Now, Jivesh is our APAC Customer Support Manager focusing on delivering the best support across a wide range of our products.

What’s it like working on your immediate team?

“My team is hardworking, professional, and, frankly, hilarious. Our Friday activity days are legendary – you never know what’s coming next, whether it’s training, a Kahoot game, or something completely unexpected.”

What is your favorite part of working in Customer Support?

With his background in both IT and healthcare systems, Jivesh has a great foundation to help our customers. He has always been a natural problem-solver which led him to customer support as did his love for helping people.

“Anytime I get queries that I can provide advice on, I feel a strong sense of accomplishment,” says Jivesh.

Have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

Jivesh mentioned that “adaptability is key and continuously improving your technical skills will take you far. Whether it’s a new product, a complex client issue, or managing a growing team, being flexible and open to change is essential.”

Additionally, he mentioned that a daily win is squeezing in a coffee break. Therefore, it is no surprise that one of his pro tips is a hot cup of coffee or two.

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

Outside of work, Jivesh lives for adrenaline-fueled adventures. You can find him practicing gymnastics, mastering trampoline stunts, diving into parkour, and advanced driving. Depending on the season, you’ll also find him snowboarding down the slopes or diving into the ocean’s depths.

His love for action extends to his travels as well. When in Thailand, his favorite destination, Jivesh begins his mornings with Muay Thai training. He will also enjoy Thai cuisine, beachside foot massages, and underwater exploration. As Jivesh puts it, “it's like paradise, but with better cardio.”

When it’s time to unwind, Jivesh bonds with his son over Marvel superhero battles while munching on popcorn. These epic scenes often spark inspiration for their next martial arts move, turning relaxation into a shared passion for skill-building and connection.

Employee Spotlight: Maxx Wayne

Maxx Wayne, our US-based Sr. Technical Consultant, has been with us for the past 4 years. A team achievement that excites him was when we worked on cloning and archiving a Quadramed system. He worked with caché for the first time and learned how to troubleshoot and resolve a variety of underlying data errors and issues.

We had the chance to catch up with Maxx to hear about his journey, his role at RLDatix, and what he enjoys outside of work.

Why did you decide to join RLDatix?

Before joining RLDatix, formerly Galen Healthcare Solutions, Maxx was searching for a role in the IT/Data Analytics fields where he felt a connection to the culture. He recalls, “I felt like I really gelled with the interviewers through our work and personal interests.”

What keeps you working here?

Maxx mentions how “the culture and team comradery is unmatched. It is truly an enjoyable work environment, and I look forward to going in and seeing my coworkers every week.”

He continued by describing how there is a balance between the chill work environment with everyone always happy to help out and expertise with everyone delivering high quality work, in a time-efficient manner.

What does your role at RLDatix entail?

Hired as an Associate Technical Consultant in 2021, Maxx was promoted to Senior in 2024 and continues to bridge the gap between technical and clinical teams. He drives data integrity and ensures top-tier quality of our health record systems.

What is your favorite part of working in Professional Services?

The combination of computer programming and data analytics is what Maxx likes most about working at RLDatix: “It's rewarding to find some difficult, unique workflow in the system and then be able to successfully mimic it while extracting data to find results,” he says.

Maxx thrives on a bit of friendly competition. Recently, Maxx competed in a Chicago Intramural league with fellow employees making it into the semi-finals. He likes playing sports and has even created a handful of sports analytics tools for when he watches them on TV.

He also spends his time virtual racecar driving. “Over the past year I've competed in three 24-hour races (Daytona, Spa, and Nurburgring) with teammates from around the world. For the Nurburgring 24 hours, notoriously the most grueling race in the world, our team finished in 2nd place so that was quite rewarding.”

Employee Spotlight: Kendall Triska

Kendall Triska, our Chicago-based Recruiter, has been with RLDatix for 3.5 years. She has played a key role in developing our culture by growing our teams across the company.

We caught up with Kendall to learn about her journey, her role in helping build TeamRLD, and what she enjoys outside of work.

Why did you decide to join RLDatix?

When Kendall was interviewing with RLDatix, she mentioned, “I felt that everyone I met with was incredibly genuine when interviewing, and I wanted to work with people I enjoy being around.” Her previous position was fully remote and she wanted the opportunity to go to an office to get to know her colleagues better.

What keeps you working here?

Kendall mentioned that the flexibility we offer and her professional development have been paramount in her time at RLDatix.

“I feel like I am continuously challenged and always honing my skills and learning new ones. I've never felt "bored" at work here as there is always a new challenge or change occurring,” says Kendall. She has felt supported by her manager in this respect and in her ability to explore different areas of the business.

What does your role at RLDatix entail?

When applying for RLDatix, Kendall noted that she could grow in the area of her choosing early on in her career and “felt that this was a great industry and company to grow with and learn new skills.”

Through our Career Elevation, Kendall started out as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator. Based on her performance, she was promoted to Jr. Recruiter after one year.

She has recently been promoted to a Recruiter where she sources, recruits, and evaluates candidates for entry level to entry-director level positions. Kendall explains that she works “closely with hiring managers to ensure a successful and efficient recruitment process within different areas of the business including sales, marketing, implementation, customer success, credentialing, HR, and more.”

What was your favorite day working at RLDatix?

When reflecting on her favorite day, Kendall mentioned she enjoyed when the entire NAM HR team traveled to the Chicago office.

"Spending the day with my coworkers in person and going out to dinner after work was a great time.” That night, she learned how to play shuffleboard with other team members, and it has since become one of her favorite games.

What is your favorite part of working in Talent Acquisition?

She was given the opportunity to explore a career change at a previous company and found recruitment to be her calling.

Kendall mentioned that her favorite part of working in Talent Acquisition is “meeting new people every day, understanding their story, and seeing if RLDatix could be a good match for them. I consider my work very people oriented and that is something I love.”

Have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

“If you are looking to get into recruiting, starting as a TA/Recruitment Coordinator could be a great place to start! I learned a lot supporting different recruiters.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

Kendall is a passionate fan of storytelling whether it's through movies, books, TV shows, theatre, or music. She loves spending time curled up cuddling with her dachshund mix, Sam, a playful rescue from Puerto Rico who’s always up for a game of fetch. Their shared experience of living in different places brings them even closer: while Sam came from the Caribbean, Kendall herself has lived in six states including New Jersey, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, New York, and Illinois.

Steve Marchant, our Australia-based Customer Education Specialist Customer Success. In March, he will have been working with RLDatix and our customers for 7 years. We took a moment to ask Steve about his story, his work at RLDatix, and the passions that keep him busy after work.

What keeps you working here?

Steve has worked for different organizations where his goal was to make things better for others and he has found that is true at RLDatix too. “I like that I can connect my skills and experience with those I work with and continue my working life in the service of others.”

What does your role at RLDatix entail?

Steve was excited to take on this role as a member of TeamRLD after working in many pervious functions. Now, he works with clients and trains them to use our software systems to deliver better and safer healthcare for their patients.

What is it like working for RLDatix?

Reflecting on his time at RLDatix, Steve elaborated on how fortunate he feels working with so many experts across our APAC business.

He also mentions our business focus on what we call our rocks. “I am especially appreciative of our APAC leadership, and that the efforts within the business focus on what is most important and not just urgent — the big rocks.”

What inspired you to work in Customer Success & Support?

Steve has had quite the career journey working as a Tradesman, a School Principal, a Human Resource Director for over 72 schools, a Manager of Specialist Training programs in two medical colleges and now working at RLDatix.

He enjoys that this line of work is people focused. Steve thrives on “building better systems for training delivery recognizing that it’s always about people.”

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

Steve is a world traveler who has visited 14 countries, and the photos he has taken on his travels have been viewed nearly 11 million times on Google. He often travels on his motorcycle in Australia to enjoy a truly Zen experience.

When he is not traveling, Steve is with his two dogs named Ziggy and Dot. As Dot is a rescue, her and Steve had an introductory visit where Steve was told that Dot had some compatibility issues in the past. But when she saw Steve, she immediately came up to him and snuggled into his lap, finding her forever home.

Employee Spotlight: Jeremy Bell

Jeremy Bell, our Utah-based CSM Team Manager, began his path with the RLDatix acquired company, SocialClimb, 4.5 years ago and has been a part of TeamRLD ever since the acquisition. He has helped multiple customers find the value in expanding their product usage. A large win he had for one of our customers was helping them to determine the ROAs of their marketing efforts.

We had the chance to catch up with Jeremy to hear about his journey, his role at RLDatix, and what he enjoys outside of work.

What led you to join TeamRLD?

Jeremy shared that he wanted to start working somewhere where he could grow and thrive, so he decided to join a growing company in Lehi, UT as one of the first Customer Success Managers.

What keeps you working here?

He mentioned that he couldn’t imagine working anywhere else because of how much he enjoys the culture, the people he works with, and the sense of purpose he feels in working for our mission.

Upon reflection, Jeremy recalls one of his favorite moments being the 2023 Summit. He was able to connect with customers in real time, and he really noted the value in that.

What originally inspired you to work in Customer Success?

While attending university to be a PT, he joined his friend’s company managing customer accounts. He discovered that he loved helping people and that he was very good at building strong relationships. For the last 15 years, he has continued to do just that.

What does your role at RLDatix entail?

Jeremy truly wants our customers to be happy and even pleasantly surprised by the significant added value that our product range can offer them. He shows existing customers what expanding their use of our products could brings them and waits for the aha moment.

Jeremy remarks, “I also manage our team of CSM's and help ensure that our customers are being taken care of.”

What is your favorite part of working in Customer Success?

Jeremy points out that he loves showing people how he can help them; “The strategic conversations that I am able to have are such a fun way to spend my time.”

Do you have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

“Be a sponge—never believe you know everything and be willing to learn from your coworkers, but also from your customers,” says Jeremy.

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

Utah is a beautiful place to be outdoors, and that is exactly where Jeremy likes to be. You can find him playing a sport or hiking most times of the year.

With over 14 years on the RLDatix team, Farrah Dastur, our Toronto-based Manager of Success Services has grown her career with us from the support team to team lead to manager, where she now mentors her team members on an even larger scale.

Why did you decide to join RLDatix?

Farrah wanted to support customers through a mission she truly connected with, and she liked knowing that our software helps improve healthcare.

What keeps you working here?

“My #1 reason to continue working here is my team and my Director. Everyone truly makes each day fun and I have never felt so supported by a team before,” she comments.

What does your role at RLDatix entail?

As a manager, Farrah helps support and mentor members of her team. However, she also works directly with customers who have purchased Success Plans. Her team provides application support and best practice advice. This can include anything from performing a configuration update or generating a report to integrating new sites or assisting with application updates. Farrah likes being hands on with our application, and she especially likes expanding reports in the Report Designer.

What originally inspired you to work in Customer Success?

While studying Computer Animation in school, she built 3D models and layouts of hospital rooms. She mentioned, “It was a change for me to get into the current field, but I enjoy meeting people and helping them navigate through their requests. It's been one of the best changes I made.”

What is your favorite part of working in Customer Success?

“Meeting new people and developing relationships has been a great part of my role and what I do," Farrah explains.

Have any advice for people looking to join the field themselves?

She said that learning something new takes time, so patience is key. Farrah also emphasized the importance of approaching challenges with understanding and kindness both toward yourself and customers.

Outside of work, what are you up to? Tell us a bit about yourself!

With a variety of interests, you can find Farrah gaming (both video games and board games), reading, painting or baking on any given day.
